I was 24 when I hired my first staff member. I thought she was great, but she quit after 6 months.
So I hired someone even better.
And she quit after 6 months.
And then my third person quit after 6 months.
Do you think I was like… hmmm, am I the pattern here?
No! I was 25. I wasn’t the problem.
Fast forward 15 or so years — and now I see what was going on. Now I can recognise what I was doing, and not doing, that was causing the situation.
